Cabbage is one of the most popular winter vegetables in Pakistan. This crop is mainly produced in the states Punjab and Sindh. Loam soil is considered best for growing cabbage. The cabbage seeds are first raised in a nursery and the seedlings are germinated and raised in a favourable environment. Pea is yet another important vegetable that is widely consumed in Pakistan. This is rich in protein and is highly nutritive. This is also grown during the winters. The seeds are sown during the Rabi season.
